Introduction:
We are class IX C from Colegiul Economic Buzău. We are 6 energetic teenagers that like to use the energy studying. From left to right we are : Horia, Gabriela, Cristi, Florin, Mihai and Marius.
We were born in Buzău, a small town in Romania by a river with the same name. In fact this town is said to be from the Dacian time. Our beautiful country has the finest natural creations. The Carpathian mountains which surround Transilvania, the place of many stories of the famous Dracula and the Bran castle. The Danube the famous river, The Black Sea with its harbours and beaches and many other natural wonders.
And now about our nice and hospitable high school.Every high school in the world is great but ours is more than that. Here you can find teachers who will help us with every problem we are going to encounter, schoolmates and classmates who will join with us in different activities and our headmaster who will bring prestige over the high school. With the help of all these people it is sure that we are going to be some people who you can trust and ask for help when you will need it.
Now we will say some things about ourselves :
Gabriela : Hello! My name is Milea Gabriela. I am 15 years old and I live in Romania. I'm studying at Colegiul Economic Buzau.
My ambition is to become a lawyer. I enjoy doing sports and meeting my friends. I like reading a good book and I don't like it when people aren't punctual. People can rely on me when I make a promise. I’m very hard-working and I like doing my job until it’s well done. I’m social and I enjoy working in a team.
Horia : Hi, my name is Horia and I am 15 years old. I was born in Buzău and I live in a village named Berca. I like to play sports, when I was a little younger I used to train my martial art skills but that was 4 years ago. Now I like to ski, play soccer or any other sport. In my freetime I like to read a good book or watch TV-series.
Cristi: My name is Cristi, I am 15 years old and live in Buzău. I like English and want to learn it very well. I am a gentle person, I like to make jokes and have fun... Football is my favourite sport and I play at a club in Buzău.
Mihai : Hi! My name is Michael and I am 15 years old. I am a student in class 9 C, Economic College Buzau
in Romania. I am social but a little shy. I am creative and always full of ideas. I like to spend time with my friends and most of the time I am with them .I like listening to music because it relaxes me.
Marius : Hi. My name is Marius and I was born on September 22. I chose to be part of this project because I like to try new things and I can also learn new words. I started learning French in grade 3 but English seems easier and more fun. I hope to improve my English in this project.
Florin :Hi! My name's Florin I’m fifteen years old and I love video games, English and history. I like to use my free time reading or watching something with history in it, playing video games or studying English. Since I was a little boy I have discovered 2 of my passions: English and video games. In the fifth class I discovered my other passion: history. I love it. I like to know about what happened in the past, what mistakes the people made before our time in order not to repeat the same fault. With English and video games it's another story: when I was four I began studying English and playing video games. So after I was studying I was going to my PC to play some games in English to exercise my English. And here's me now speaking fluent English, playing a lot of video games and knowing a lot about the humankind’s past.
Here are our answers to some questions about children rights :
What are you allowed to do?
Horia : We have the right to a family, education, protection and many others. In my country, if you are poor and can’t realy afford to buy your kid tools for school you will get some free from the state.
What happens if there are no rules?
Horia : If there are no rules then it will be total chaos. Without rules everyone will act by their own behavior, without knowing if it’s a good thing what or a bad one.
What happens if there are too many rules?
Horia : If the rules are more than they should be then you would not know what is good and what is bad. It will be hard for a child to learn all those rules.
What is difference between wanting and needing?
Mihai : The difference between what I want and what I need is… people are trying to aspire to something even if they do not need it. For example, I want to have the best pc, but I don`t need it.
What is basic need for you?
Mihai :I need to learn for my future to have a good job
What rights do children in your country have?
Gabriela : In my country children have more rights such as:
-the right to protection from all forms of exploitation
-the right to rest and holiday
-the right to be protected against any form of violence
Do these also apply in different countries?
Gabriela : Yes, these rights apply to other countries.
What should adults in your environment take care of?
Gabriela : Adults should invest in schools and children's centers.
Which rights do you think are fair and just for every child? Name a few
Cristi : Primarily, to go to school and secondly, the right to have a family.
What should the government take care of?
Marius : The government should take care of the education of children because they are the future of our country. The government decides everything, the population only participate in elections .
Who decides?
Marius : These decisions are taken by the Education Minister and other senators, they are making these decisions.
Contributions Challenge 1:
For challenge 1, we created a poem:
A soul
Kids are like pure beings,
They are not evil and do not swear.
They have very pure feelings
That they would really like to share.
Some kids are being criticized
Beaten, told off and traumatised.
Some of them are forever ignored
But their hope will soon be restored.
Some kids are alone on earth,
In their mind with only one thought,
That when they finally grow up,
They’ll make a change in people’s heart.
Some adults don’t think about us
When we sneeze or shake at street corner, naked
I yell at some that we need to be healed
But all pass by, their feelings concealed.
There a lot of happy cases,
When kids’ souls are well protected,
When the kids have clothes, and good care,
And have someone to say : ^Don’t forget to brush your hair^
Have you ever tried to look into a kid’s eyes,
To stay some moments to think and say:
The eyes are the mirror to all kids’ souls
And through them you see and feel a child laugh or cry?
Feedback from: Hi everyone at the Colegiul Economic Buzau,
We are the pupils of the Anton Residaschool in Suriname. We really love your intro and find eveyone unique and interesting. Honestly we have never hears of your hometown but what was familiar was the name Transilvania, because of the Dracula Cartoon Hotel Transylvania. The poem is also very beautiful and inspiring. We hope to see more and wish you all the best.

Contributions Challenge 2:
A better school from our point of view is a school where there is no discrimination or racism, a better school where the kids would really love to go and study. Together we can make sure that all the kids receive a good education to prevent child labour.
When they are young they should play with each other, be with their family and not in a factory where they are forced to work.

Completion:
Dear GTP jury,
We are the same teenagers who introduced themselves at the beginning of this beautiful project which taught us that every child has rights and needs to be respected and appreciated.
We are five teenagers who think that every child is important. School is important for us as it is for every child and we are happy that this right, to go to school was fulfilled for us. Without proper learning we wouldn’t be able to participate in the GTP program.
We are proud that we learn in a proper high school. No right must be improved, there are that well thought that none of us can think of better rights. The sanctions for not fulfilling the rights must be tougher.
